21st May 2020, Period 6, Class 11, Engineering Graphics - Projection of planar figures - 5
Dear Students,
Good Morning and a warm welcome to today's class.
It feels really nice to meet up for yet another class this morning.
In the last class we had learnt about projection of planar figures. In today's class we will continue with the same topic.
In drawing the projection of planar figures our knowledge of projection of points and lines will prove to be quite expedient and important.
Let us now draw the projections in the following 4 questions.
Exercise - Projections of planar figures
Projections mean - The Top View and the Front View
Q 1. Draw the projections of an equilateral triangle of side 30 mm whose surface is inclined to the HP at 30 degrees and one side perpendicular to the VP.
Q 2. Draw the projections of a circle of radius 20 mm whose surface is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees to the HP.
Q 3. Draw the projections of a pentagon of side 30 mm whose surface is inclined to the HP at 30 degrees and one of its side parallel to the VP and away from it.
Q 4. Draw the projections of a hexagon of side 30 mm whose surface is inclined to the HP at 45 degrees and two of its sides perpendicular to the VP.
