3rd July 2020, Period 5, Class 11, Engineering Graphics - Projection of planar figures - Recap

Learn Basics Engineering Graphics EG Tutorial As Per GTU < Kachhua

Dear Students,

Good Morning and a warm welcome to today's class.

It feels really nice to meet up for yet another class this morning.

In the last class before the break we had learnt about projection of planar figures. In today's class we will continue with the same topic.

In drawing the projection of planar figures our knowledge of projection of points and lines will prove to be quite expedient and important.

Let us now draw the projections in the following 4 questions.

Exercise - Projections of planar figures

Projections mean - The Top View and the Front View

Q 1. Draw the projections of a square of side 30 mm whose surface is parallel to the VP and its diagonal is perpendicular to the HP.

Q 2. Draw the projections of a hexagon of side 30 mm whose surface is parallel to the HP and two of its sides perpendicular to the VP.

Q 3. Draw the projections of a hexagon of side 30 mm whose surface is inclined to the HP at 45 degrees and two of its sides perpendicular to the VP.

Q 4. Draw the projections of a hexagon of side 30 mm whose surface is inclined to the VP at 45 degrees and two of its sides perpendicular to the HP.
