Dear Students, Good Morning and a warm welcome to today's class. It feels really nice to meet up for yet another class this morning. We will be studying about the Sleeve and Cotter Joint. An Isometric view of the Sleeve and Cotter joint is shown below A Sectioned Isometric view is shown below Uses of the Joint 1. This type of joint is used to join or connect two rods having circular cross section area. 2. The rods may be stationary or revolving, whichever be the case. What is the material of the parts 1. The rods and the sleeve are made of Mild Steel (MS). 2. The cotters are made up of Steel (S). Parts of a sleeve and cotter joint 1. Sleeve - 1 No. 2. Rods - 2 Nos. 3. Cotters - 2 Nos.
