Class 11

General Instructions

1.      Attempt all questions.

2.      All dimensions are in mm.

3.      Follow the SP: 46-1988 codes (with first angle projections)

4.      Use both sides of the drawing sheet, if required.

5.      Missing or mismatching dimensions, if any, may be suitably assumed

6.      Diagrams are not to scale. Follow the dimensions only.

7.      Draw neat projections/ views.

Specific instructions:

Write titles are all places, mention dimensions, draw proper arrowheads, draw light construction and helping lines.

Q1. Draw angles of 360, 720 and 1080                          (5)

Q2. Draw a regular hexagon of side 30 mm inside another regular hexagon of side 50 mm,

both having common centre and parallel edges.       (5)

Q3. Divide a line segment AB in the ratio of 5 : 6           (5)

Q4. A line AB 40 mm long is placed in the VP. Its end A is 20 mm from the HP while its

other end B is 30 mm from the HP. Draw its front view and top view.          (5)

Q5. A line CD 40 mm long makes an angle of 300 with the HP and its top view makes

an angle 450 with the VP. Draw the projections (FV and TV) of the line CD.     (6)

Q6. A regular HEXAGON of side 30 mm having two of its sides parallel to the VP has

its surface inclined at 300 to the HP. Draw its front view and top view.           (6)

Q7. Draw the FV, TV and LHSV of a hexagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and height

70 mm placed on its base on the HP with two of the base edges parallel to the VP. (8)

Q8. A cone of diameter 40 mm and axis length 70 mm is placed on the HP. It is cut by a

cutting plane inclined to the HP at 45 degrees and passing through the axis at its centre.

Draw the section of the frustum so obtained and its true shape.   (10)
