5. Missing or mismatching dimensions, if any, may be suitably assumed

6. Diagrams are not to scale. Follow the dimensions only.

Draw neat projections/ views.

Q1 (a) Construct an isometric scale of length 80 mm with subdivisions. (4)

(b) A cylinder, 25 mm base diameter and 50 mm height having its axis perpendicular to the HP,

is kept centrally over a pentagonal slab of 25 mm base edge and 20 mm height, having one

of its rectangular faces parallel to the VP. Draw the isometric projection of the combination

of solids. Give all dimensions, mark the common axis and indicate the direction of

viewing. (12)

Q2 (a) Draw to scale 1: 1, the standard profile of BSW Threads taking the enlarged pitch as 40 mm. (6)

(b) Draw to scale 1: 1, the standard profile of Metric Threads (External) taking the enlarged pitch as 50 mm. (6)

Q3 (a) Draw to scale 1: 1, the Front View, Top View and LH side view of a hexagonal nut (M 24) placed on the HP with its axis perpendicular to it. (8)

(b) Draw to scale 1: 1, the front view and the side view of a square headed bolt having shank diameter 24 mm (M 24) keeping its axis horizontal. (8)

Q4. Given below is the assembly of the Sleeve and Cotter joint. Disassemble the parts correctly and then draw to scale 1:1 the folowing views::
