General Instructions

Draw proper projections, mention titles, give dimensions, show hatching lines in sections, show construction lines as per norm.

Q 1. A hexagonal pyramid of base edge 35 mm and axis length 70 mm is placed in the HP with two of its base edges parallel to the VP. It is cut by a cutting plane inclined to the VP at 30 degress and 10 mm above its apex (or centre). Draw the section of the solid so obtained. (10 marks)

Q 2. A pentagonal prism of base edge 20 mm and axis length 70 mm is placed on the HP with one of its base edges parallel to the VP. It is cut by a cutting plane inclined to the HP at 45 degrees and passing through the centre of its axis. Draw the section of the solid so obtained. Also draw its true shape. (20 marks)
