Instructions

1.      Attempt all questions.

2.      All dimensions are in mm.

3.      Follow the SP: 46-1988 codes (with first angle projections)

4.      Use both sides of the drawing sheet, if required.

5.      Missing or mismatching dimensions, if any, may be suitably assumed

6.      Diagrams are not to scale. Follow the dimensions only.

7.      Draw neat projections/ views.

Q1.  Draw angles of 90, 270 and 540.                                                                                              (5)

Q2. Draw an Interior Common Tangent to two circles of radii 25 mm and 35 mm,

having their centres 90 mm apart.                                                                                        (5)

Q3. Draw a HEXAGON of side 50 mm outside another HEXAGON of side 30 mm.               (6)

Q4. A line CD 40 mm long makes an angle of 450 with the HP and its top view makes

an angle 300 with the VP. Draw its FV and TV.                                                                     (6)

Q5. A pentagonal prism of base side 30 mm and axis length 70 mm has one of its base

sides parallel to the VP and its axis inclined to the HP at 300. Draw its front view

        top view.                                                                                                                                    (8)

Q6. A hexagonal pyramid having 35 mm base side and axis length 75 mm is placed

on the HP on its base. It is sectioned by an inclined cutting plane making an angle

300 with the HP intersecting the axis at its centre. Draw its FV, sectioned TV and

true shape of the section.                                                                                                      (10)
