Instructions

1.      Attempt all questions.

2.      All dimensions are in mm.

3.      Follow the SP: 46-1988 codes (with first angle projections)

4.      Use both sides of the drawing sheet, if required.

5.      Missing or mismatching dimensions, if any, may be suitably assumed

6.      Diagrams are not to scale. Follow the dimensions only.

7.      Draw neat projections/ views.

Q1. A hexagonal pyramid having base edge 30 mm and and height 60 mm is placed on the HP on its

       base with 2 edges parallel to the VP. It is sectioned by an inclined cutting plane making an angle

       30⁰ with the HP intersecting the axis at its mid point. Draw its FV, Sectioned TV and

       True Shape of the Section.                                                                                                (8)

 

Q2. Draw isometric Scale of length 80 mm with mm sub divisions.                                       (5)

       

 Q3. Draw the isometric projection of a frustum of a pentagonal pyramid of base side 50 mm, 

        top edge 30 mm and height 70 mm placed on the HP with one of its base sides parallel to

        the VP. Mark its axis, show all dimensions, print titles and indicate the direction of viewing.                                                                                                                                                            (10)  

Q4. Draw the isometric projection of a sphere of diameter 40 mm placed centrally on top of 

       a square slab of base edge 50 mm and height 30 mm. Show all dimensions, print titles 

       and indicate the direction of viewing.                                                                               (12)
